History of the Internet

The history of the internet is a very interesting and engaging topic to learn about, mainly due to the fact that the internet is used by me and a large population of the world on a daily/hourly basis throughout there current life’s.  From reading the History of the internet in a nutshell a blogpost entry, I was shocked to find how far back the first internet hosts were launched. In 1969 the first hosts were connected at Stanford and UCLA university campuses in america.

Another key thing to point out is that although the ‘internet’ was officially launched connecting 2 university campuses in 1969. It wasn’t until 1998 until online giant google hit the scene. Its hard to think a internet without google? Archie arrives in 1990 in which was the first search engine ever. But would you want to visit the web without google? The internet has changed many factors including the government in certain countries who now use the internet to help promote themselves and raise awareness on sites such as Facebook and Youtube. So it really has changed the way we as humans do things in todays current climate. If we had no internet would the world be a better place? Would we be more social people?
